Studies

Guided ways into Scripture for yourself or with others.

A stack of Denvil's books on a table, spines out.

Some of the first study guides I made were handwritten and stapled together. I made them because I wanted people to keep engaging Scripture after the teaching ended, not simply remember what I had said.

My desire is that we become not consumers of information but participants in transformation.

Guided studies to help you open Scripture, make your own observations, and respond to what God is saying. These are built for personal use or group conversation, with space to notice, question, wrestle, and follow.

May you find Him, fall in love with Him, and follow Him.

How studies work

  1. Mark the passage

You read the Scripture first and mark whatever gets your attention, even if you cannot say why.

  2. Say it out loud

What you marked is where the conversation starts, with a group or just with God.

  3. Ask one question of it

Every passage can be asked the same handful of honest questions. The sessions teach you to ask them yourself.

  4. Go further

Each session ends with a next step for your week, and a place or two to look if you want more.

Studies open in Grab Your Bibles, a distraction-free reading experience built for working through Scripture one screen at a time.
